Job hunting from China: How I landed a UK big company offer in 2 months 🇬🇧 (Experience Sharing V)
First, answering 👉🏻👉🏻 Can you still find a job in the UK from China without a visa?
(From personal experience: yes, you can!)
🫣🫣🫣 I know — not having a visa feels extremely insecure! So in my previous post, I summarized the industries and roles that are most generous with sponsorship. If you haven’t read it, feel free to check it out.
⏰⏰⏰ Timeline
For those applying in the autumn recruitment cycle, I really have to say this:
The ideal timeline is to receive an AC (Assessment Centre invitation) before Christmas and get an offer after Christmas / before the New Year 👉🏻 because in this window, as long as you pass the benchmark, you can usually get an offer, and the requirements are relatively less strict.
But if your AC is scheduled very late, there may be only a few positions left. Then you really need to be the best of the best to secure an offer. So timing is crucial 🔥 (This came directly from interviewers.)
So autumn applicants — time to get moving!
😳😳😳 Job search channels
Focus on campus recruitment — checking company websites is the most convenient. You can also refer to platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed.
(If you need job lists that provide visa sponsorship or my “landing an offer” tips file 📒, feel free to politely message me.)
Spend the rest of your time practicing online tests and interviews. Don’t stress too much about imperfect spoken English. English isn’t our mother tongue after all. Remember: what matters more is what you say, not how native you sound. Companies aren’t hiring English teachers — they want to see solid content and proof that you have the soft and hard skills they need.
💗💗💗 The courage to go all in and the drive to take action are essential for landing an offer!
Success depends on people — just go for it 👌
Wishing you all success in autumn recruitment 💪🏻
